(Anonymous) 2015-03-28 08:47 pm (UTC)(link)Eowyn is actually a pretty name, very anglo-saxon sounding. I wouldn't have minded that. 'Sherlock' is a lot dodgier, and the middle names are just way over the top. Poor kids.
There are women in the Holmes canon, though. Why not use one of those, if you wanted a Holmes name? Irene, Violet ... Mary's maybe a little common, I'll grant. If you wanted to go sideways and come back at it, you could even go 'Olivia' (Flaversham). There's a few others from LotR as well. Some of the hobbit names might match well with Holmes. The Took names were quite Victorian sounding in places: Belladonna, Mirabella ...
Actually, Irena and Mirabella. If they were my twins and my fandoms, I'd have named them Irena and Mirabella.
