I went to high school with a girl named Princess. I think it had more to do with immigrant parents and culture differences than trying have their daughter stand out.

They were Puerto Rican. I don't know if Princess would be cultural or not. I do know my girlfriend was pissed about it because her name was Selina, and the cousin's full name was Princess Selina - cousin was younger and she always felt like the name was a case of one-upmanship.

The girl I went to high school with was, I believe, Indian. She was ahead of me in school so I didn't know her well.
