In large part due to my parents being very well off and having had a comfortable life, but at least I'm aware of it.

I'm very happy to be cynical though. It doesn't bring me down (usually).

Extremely cynical. I basically think we're probably going to annihilate ourselves as a species, and that maybe isn't a bad thing.

I'm trying to be less cynical, though, because it's not healthy for me, and no one really wants to be around people who are grimdark and edgy.

Very cynical, and I'm worse with some topics than others.

I wouldn't say I've got a good reason for it though, it just happened as I grew up.

I'm read as it.

The reality is I've a strongly determinist view of life, and our inability to change the systems around us.

And I'm of the opinion we won't be able to seriously change things until we end up going down the hard route of technological and genetic enhancement.

I think we'll just start applying our same old flawed behaviours and ways of thinking - just with more technology behind it.

People keep telling me I'm incredibly cynical but I actually just consider myself a realist with maybe a slightly morbid streak. But yeah, I guess you might call it cynical as well.
Reasons, eh... the world isn't a nice place and shit happens? Seeing things in a negative light means you can only get pleasantly surprised if things go right for a change? Something along those lines, I guess.

I feel like I'm somewhat cynical? I try to keep a positive outlook and don't always jump to a bad conclusion, but it depends on my current mood, tbh.

I'm probably the most cynical person I know. Why? Because I majored in Environmental Science and then did a Masters in politics.

I was born in 1977. We were the last generation taught that the American Dream was real, and the first generation (of white kids) for whom it wasn't.

This country's slide into neofeudal oligarchy dates from the exact time I started forming memories. I'm a little cynical.

I specifically distrust parents and people who put themselves in a paternal, I-know-best-so-let-me-do-the-thinking position. I think my family represents every possible way in which adults can neglect, abuse, or exploit their wards. Other than that, I usually assume the best of people.

I'm pretty cynical, for pretty solid reasons, but I have a few idealistic streaks.

I'm not particularly edgy. It takes too much energy that could be better spent elsewhere.

Very, and say I have good reason. I got kicked out of my own home by my grandmother's then boyfriend because of the *shocking* crimes of...spending a lot of time at college, and being not straight.

Then had to spend a little while homeless that resulted in my dropping out of college since I ended up in a job where I was working 14 hr days.

So yeah, I'd say I have good reason.
