What would you consider a normal amount of sex in a relationship you were in? What about optimal?

Normal amount, or the amount that I'd be bare minimum happy with? 1-2 times a week. Optimal? 3-4 times a week, but I'm old enough to know that schedules won't often match up for that.

Normal: whenever people can make time for it. More if sex is a priority, less if it isn't. This is likely to change over the course of a relationship.

Optimal: whatever leaves everyone feeling satisfied. Whether that be once or twice a week or once or twice per month, if everyone is happy with the amount and quality of sex then that is ideal.

There is no set normal or optimal number of times one should have sex per week in order to have a satisfying sex life.

Me personally? Normal would be 3-4 times a week, and I'm happy enough with that.

Optimal? Practically every day. But finding someone with a libido that's as high as mine isn't easy (and I'm speaking as a bisexual woman).

Me and y girlfriend haven't had sex in about a year. Maybe two. Normal is no more than she's comfortable with, optimal is no less than you need. from there work it out to suit your situation

Optimal...er...Honestly? Never. But then, I'm ace and I tend to just see it as work*.
