Re: Would you/have you named someone after a work of fiction?

Pets, sure-- a dog and at least two cats. I don't have kids, but my sister named her son after a character in Trinity by Leon Uris (Conor, can't remember the character's last name.) I can't think of a fictional character offhand I'd name a child after (although that ship has sailed) but if I did it would be mostly a case of liking a name I encountered in fiction, not adoring the character. I'd hate for a kid to be embarrassed about a dumb name.
