What is a combination of things on bread that makes for the best sandwich? Multiple answers allowed and encouraged.

Turkey, provolone, lettuce, spinach, and mayo on wheat bread. :D

The place near me was doing a special a while back: Pastrami, kimchi, and sriracha aioli on a ciabatta roll. It was joy.

Toasted White bread + Melted Cheddar + Peri Peri Sauce.

Ham, mayonaisse, a little mustard and alfalfa sprouts is my top fav.

Ham, cheddar cheese, mayonaisse, and lettuce on sourdough. Pickles are acceptable too.

I really like breakfast sandwiches, so a fried egg squished between bacon (or a cold cut), cheese, tomato, shredded lettuce (or alfalfa sprouts), and a bit of mayo & mustards is gold to me. The bread is toasted, so that's also gold, possibly golden too.

Switching out mayo for hummus in a more lunchy sandwich (cold cuts or just veggie) is also awesome. Herb & garlic or some other savoury cream cheese too, and throw some avocado slices in there. Or make a guacamole for your spread :d

eta: also sometimes i just like a plain ham & butter sandwich to remember the good ol' school days.

A chilli chutney sandwich or a triple fried egg, chilli, chutney sandwich.

My favorite is some sort of spicy salami, roasted chicken, maybe some ham, good mayo, brown mustard, dark green leafy stuff, red onion, green pepper and thick, grainy bread. Or a blt on sourdough.

Ooh, or meatball and pepperoni. Or pulled pork with coleslaw.

The perfect super meat sandwich. Even better with flatbread. The meatball marinara at my place of work is pretty damn good too.

A few of my favorites:

-peanut butter and apple (or banana, but I find apple nicer) on whole wheat
-ketchup/dill pickle/cheddar cheese (open faced, toasted) on potato bread if you're fancy
- grilled beet/grilled fennel/dill mayo/goat cheese on dark rye

Pastrami. The best quality pickles you can possibly acquire. Real fresh sourdough.

BLTs, especially with some pepper ground on the tomatoes.

pastrami, swiss cheese, sauerkraut and russian dressing, hot, on marble rye

ham, butter, baguette

White bread, lettuce, tomato, chicken, mustard (preferably honey mustard).

Safeway sliced roasted chicken, muenster cheese, a little mayo and mustard, half an avocado.

Alternatively, anything from Roast Beast in Boston that includes onion and horseradish dijon. Mmmmm...

Also burger patty with cheese, onion, ketchup n mustard, and extra pickles. In fact, just pass the jar...

White or wheat bread, Miracle Whip, Longhorn Colby cheese, pickles (either Kosher dill or sweet)

White or wheat bread, Miracle Whip, ketchup, yellow mustard, Longhorn Colby cheese, potato chips (plain, cheddar and sour cream, or sour cream and onion)

Sourdough bread, mustard, garlic, Colby Jack cheese

Toasted Italian bread, mayo, smoked turkey, bacon, red onions

Italian sausage and meatball hero with provolone and a little thick marinara sauce and some mushrooms.
Rare roast beef and salami on rye with onion and tomato and swiss cheese.
Medium rare roast lamb on a kaiser roll.
Good quality turkey with bacon and tomato and avocado.

Grate an apple, some onion or shallot, sharp cheddar, and a bit of mozzarella into a bowl. Add a dab of mustard, some fresh thyme, and dried chipotle powder (if you like spicy) or smoked sweet paprika (if you don't.) Non-vegetarians, feel free to add some crumbled bacon. Cram between two slices of sourdough or other sturdy bread, and fry in a pan in some butter or oil until both sides are crispy and the cheese melts.

I MUST DO THIS.

Gosh, this would be good as a spread even without grilling it.

Open face breakfast sandwich: thick, crusty bread drizzled with olive oil, dried sage and a sprinkle of red pepper flakes, and a thick layer of feta cheese, all toasted then topped with a poached egg and some fresh ground black pepper (however you switch it up, it doesn't need salt; warm feta will be super salty in taste already)

Basic vegetarian sandwich: tasty bread (I prefer rosemary bread, yum), thick hummus spread, spinach or other greens, sliced tomato, sliced avocado, sliced cucumber

1. Toasted English muffin (preferably done via frying pan with a tiny bit of butter), smoked salmon, lettuce or whatever kind of salad greens you have on hand, cream cheese.

2. Bread of any kind, ham, any kind of mild cheese but I think I used asiago or gouda or something, green apple slices. This could probably have some mustard or mayo as well. This should be heated.

3. Jimmy John's Beach Club minus the cucumbers and tomatoes, but plus sprouts because I wish those would come back (french bread, mayo, turkey, provolone, lettuce, sprouts, avocado/guacamole).

4. I just remembered about Croque Madames and that is a tragedy because they are so goddamn good. Grilled ham and cheese sandwich, topped with a fried egg, with bechamel sauce.

5. This sandwich was a disaster and appears to no longer be on the menu at the place I got it from but it was SO GODDAMN GOOD: waffles instead of bread, peanut butter, grape jelly, bananas, and bacon.

Peppered turkey breast, sliced thin. Red onions. Pepper jack cheese. Horseradish aioli. Crisp bacon. Ciabatta bread.
