This strike is hurting FAR more than it's helping. Because the writers can't deal with what they have, other people are losing their jobs. So hooray, let's support the unemployment lines! Jesus.

Well, of course they can't deal, as they're not getting what they rightly deserve from sales of DVD and Internet stuff, which is clearly where the industry is headed. They're seeing the potential for earnings way before the studios are, just like it was 19 years ago. Someone else said sarcastically that people should never ever go on strike regardless of how unfair/unsafe their working conditions might be just 'cause it'll hurt the economy. YES, the strike sucks. YES, people are losing their jobs. NO, it's not fun. NO, it's not what the writers want. Everyone just wants to be able to do their jobs and get paid fairly for it. But sometimes, unpleasant things have to happen for more pleasant things to come about. Jesus.
