And also number of US cops carrying guns: virtually 100%, as a default, all the time. Number of UK cops carrying guns: 6%, when they're authorized to be used.
You're automatically going to have insanely less shootings in the UK purely because there are insanely less guns be it in the hands of criminals OR the hands of police.
Privately owning handguns has been illegal in the UK since the mid 90's. The can only be owned for sporting use, and even then only in incredibly strict conditions. Regular homes in the UK do not have guns.
Come back with your argument when 100% of UK cops are armed and when the prevalence of firearms in the UK comes even anywhere close to that of the US.
