Derse/Prospit's conflict and folk could totally be they're own story imo, and I would love to see more of them. Carapace people screwing around in the desert were also my favourite bits.

sad that so few people on f!s give a shit about hs. why wasn't I in fandom when f!s had lots of homestuck secrets?

Anyway, I wasn't really a fan of them. WV, sure, even before he became the Major (frankly I hate how he gets patronized by the meteor crew). But it was more of a fantasy silent movie with black vs white, which I guess fits your childhood memory feeling.

I actually started reading Homestuck to get what all the secrets were about. Unfortunately, by the time I caught up it was no longer as popular here.

I still give a shit about it, but I can't muster up as much emotional energy as I used to because of the way it's sort of petered out. Once it winds up a bit more, I'll try to catch up and get a bit more invested again. I definitely want to be there for the ending.

Wayward Vagabond's story was the only part of Homestuck I could get my brother to check out. It's amazing how well it holds up on its own, for a while anyway

Text: I miss the earlier Homestuck so badly, when the game constructs were the “important” buts, rather than Lord English and the trolls. I feel like someone looking back on a childhood they can’t get back.

I think they're still important. Homestuck adds to what's important, without necessarily taking other stuff away. But there's not as much focus on them - not because they're no longer relevant, but because the ones who are still around aren't all the same place anymore. Unless you're talking about Dersites and Prospitians in general, in which case I'd have to disagree a little, since I'm less interested in what a bunch of them do as a whole than I am in what individually defined characters do.
