Text: I'm slightly bummed that missing the bandwagon for some fandoms means the only reasonably-priced official merch I can get are boring and/or, for lack of a better word, too mainstream.
Gone are the limited editions.
If there aren't bad fashion brand tie-up shirts yet, there might be one day. I don't judge otherwise okay people for wearing them, but...I wouldn't myself.
Fanmade stuff is hit-or-miss for me.

What pisses me off is that at this point, Iris is the only character on the show who doesn't know Barry's identity. It's turned into a show about a whole bunch of people conspiring to keep a secret from one person. And they're not even throwing her a surprise party.

I "left" fandom five years ago. I was still involved in fannish things; I drew art for Tumblr and I RPed. But I left the fandom community, which, at the time, was LiveJournal. I'm trying to come back. But everything has changed. I don't know where all my fandom friends went. Tumblr fandom is not the same. There's no community. I feel really lost. I should have never left. I feel like the last five years were a mistake.

Fandom in general was a minor factor in choosing my field of study.

Now I'm having doubts if it (the field) was the right choice.

I'm not angry, I just smh at myself for letting my fondness for fandom tip the scales that little bit.

I think I can't bring myself to start new canons or get up to speed on old fandoms' canon updates because I don't want to move on in life yet.
I'm fine watching other fans squee, and seeing fanwork for the new stuff, because I'm watching them from the past. I'm happy for them. And maybe I'll be happy with them too when I'm ready.
