I don't know. I mean, I agree that there's nothing wrong with it in the sense that it's certainly not any individual person's fault that they're influenced that way. But I do worry about whether it's on the whole a good thing. Not because the messages it sends are necessarily bad or good but like... There is something kind of impersonal about it, isn't there?

I guess it depends on which mass media messages you do fall for. My personal problem is that so many of them can be contradictory (i.e - commercial for a Big Mac and then a weight loss in the same ten minutes.) I don't know about impersonal....mass media gives us ways to connect with people, and from there we develop personal relationships. It is hard to find something particularly tailored, though.
