Going to be entirely honest, I don't know if I should feel sad about the fact that you missed that attraction or not. I can still remember being strapped into the seat and feeling the 'breath' of the alien on the back of my neck...

Plus the darkness was absolutely chilling, because I've always had a fear of the dark. That was an excellent attraction, very creative and effective but not for someone that age, lol. (There was even a specific person 'chosen'...can't remember what happened to them but I sat through the entire thing thinking I was going to be next.)

WTH Disney.

NGL, I am sort of impressed looking back on it now.

I'd heard about the breath thing! Also heard that it involves the alien's tail sliding over one's feet and around one's ankles...

It definitely seems very, erm, effective? 'Alien: Isolation' turned me into a gibbering mess at points; I can see something like this being especially terrifying, even at my current age. But goodness, I'd still love to experience it some day.

I'm sorry that it was kind of a negative experience for you, though. Some things really aren't meant for little ones, lol.

Ah, the tail! I had forgotten about that. I haven't played 'Alien: Isolation' but I've heard enough good to make me want to. Either than or watch a walkthrough. It would get to me regardless because I don't do well with horror games.

Haha, that's okay. It was one of those experiences that I'll never completely forget, and though it was bad at the time...looking back on it, it is pretty damn neat that I got to experience it. An attraction like that would be so cool to experience today, especially since with the tech of today they could go even further. Maybe something similar will happen in our lifetime and you'll get to see it!

(There were approximately 20 warnings about how that attraction wasn't meant for kids, and yet my parents still took my brother and I on it. I was so shocked after I got out that I didn't know what to do with myself, lmao.)

It's very well done! It very much preserves the aesthetic of the first film, so it's primarily stealth-based and everything has a late 70s/early 80s look and feel to it. And both the score and ambient noise are just...wonderful, so atmospheric. But yeah, I definitely found it scary! Every encounter with the alien is very tense. It was a blast to play, but if horror games tend to get to you, I think this one definitely would, heh.
