I really want to visit my (shiny new) boyfriend, but it's so expensive. I can't stay with him when I do, and I feel bad telling him he has to pay for the hotel room we BOTH (discussed and agreed upon) would stay in were I to go over, but it's the truth: I don't have money for the travel AND a couple nights in a hotel. I mean, it's less than half the price of my travel, but way out of my budget. And it's not like he's offering to come visit me, where he could stay at my place, np. So where's the tradeoff, otherwise? We're both strapped, and I feel like we should both be making the financial commitment if we want this to happen.

And the more I think about it, the more I go back and forth.
