Netflix original stuff!

What's worth watching?
I've heard some positive things about House of Cards and that Hemlock Grove is disturbing.

OITNB is the only thing I've seen and it's awesome.

House of Cards is pretty damn good. I hate both politics and dramas, so for me to enjoy a political drama means a hell of a lot. It's still a show I can only watch about three episodes of in a stretch, though, or else I get bogged down in intrigue and plot.

I like political dramas, but they've got to be well written. You can't take a boring thing like politics and make it even more boring and still expect me to enjoy watching it because it's realistic, you know?

I really enjoyed House of Cards. I've heard some complaints about Kevin Spacey talking to the camera so hopefully that's not something that will bug you, but I don't mind and I have a lot of fun watching the characters scheme and manipulate the people around them.

Thank you! I guess I won't know if it bugs me until I watch it.

I have yet to see the third season. But I like the show. Basically, it's the best Shakespeare adaptation that is not an adaptation of Shakespeare. It's the Macbeths go to Washington. If you like that play, you'll like this show.

Well I'm sold!

I lost my heart to The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. It's charmingly ridiculous, I love almost all of the characters, and overall it's a sweet, optimistic show. However, the last couple episodes really fall flat (but it's already got a second season in the works, so there's hope for it to turn itself around), and it relies a lot on "But if we sort of slyly acknowledge that this joke is racist/sexist/homophobic, then we can still make it and not get called out on it, right?" Which is kind of unsurprising because it's a Tina Fey production and that was one of my big complaints about 30 Rock. I do recommend it overall, but with caveats.

I'll see how I like the first ep before I decide to hate it forever!
I'm not a fan of those jokes. It's not just because they're gross, but because they're not as funny or edgy as people seem to think they are.

Hemlock Grove is weird. It has interesting moments but overall there is just so much WTFery that I don't know if I'll keep watching.

Hmm. I'm probably going to try it anyway because I want to see what a disgusting werewolf transformation looks like.
Thanks!
