I remember loving the tie-in novels when I was young, but I'm not sure if I'd still like it as a grown-up.

Hmmm, I loved the TV show as a kid but I don't know if I watched it now if it would have the same effect or if it would just be nostalgia glasses.

Doooooon't do it. I had a recent fit of nostalgia and decided to go back and watch Alex Mack because it had been an old favorite of mine from when I was a kid, and...man. It is so bad.

I watched the series finale on YouTube for the nostalgia and it made me as emotional as when I was a kid. But I'm not sure I could say the same for the whole series. Even when I was a kid I could tell a lot of it was pushing the hokeyness (I remember talking to the TV like "Oh pleeeeze, everyone knows REAL labs aren't [full of bubbling, steaming beakers of bright colored liquids] like that, duuuuuhhhhhhhh!")
