Doing something that involves cleaning or organizing tends to help me a lot. Even if it's something small like a single shelf, or your desk, it takes just enough thought to be distracting without being overwhelming, plus you get the sense of accomplishment and calm when you see your space neat and tidy.

Warm blankets and naps are good. So is trashy and pointless television (reality transformation stuff-house renovation, makeovers, etc.-does it for me, I have no idea why). Also non-intense video games, like those silly match/hidden object games or word puzzles are a good distraction that doesn't require too much energy.
