I still remember the weird passive-agressive "must be nice..." nonsense I got from fandom friends when I posted - once! - that I'd finally paid off my student loans. Folks in fandom can be weird about money.

Heh. I got some of that WHILE I WAS HOMELESS. It actually led to a fight I had with someone, because my lack of student debt was so enraging. (And thank GOD I didn't have any; I was having a hard enough time with clothing and toothpaste!)
