Thanks for your experience, I'm glad they were helpful with you. When I've contacted them, they've been polite and all, but I just want my package.

I'm not sure how it could have been stolen - I mean, I read stories about Fedex or UPS leaving packages outside at people's houses and then they disappear. But I'm in an apartment building with a front desk that takes all the packages. Short of someone at the front desk stealing it (which just doesn't seem likely to me, but who knows... they do have video cameras set up), I don't know what could have happened. The person who was on shift then, who was actually one of the managers, said no package was delivered at the time they claimed. Furthermore, the person who "signed" it is not any staff.

If they do prove that it was actually brought here, I have no idea. I guess then I get the authorities involved or something? I seriously have no idea. I'd assume that Fedex would not just hand it off to a random person in an apartment building. Since it's my own personal computer, not something I bought, there's no seller to complain to either...

God I'm just hoping there was some mix-up and they locate it asap, and get it to me. But since the package is so valuable I'm terrified that if it was brought to the wrong address and someone opened it, they might just steal it then or something..

If your building has cameras which would prove the package wasn't delivered at the time Fedex say it was signed for, then it's still something Fedex are accountable for since it wasn't delivered correctly in the first place. If the package wasn't delivered to the correct address, then it's still their responsibility (and conversely, if the footage proves it was delivered, then you'd need to take it up with the building managers/owners, including getting the police involved).

Is there a way you can see the footage, or get a trustworthy manager to look at it? Because like I said, if the package was not actually delivered to your building then the onus goes back onto Fedex and makes any claims you might need to make a lot more straightforward.
