Shipping, especially for fandoms where the ships shouldn't be the point at all. It used to drive me crazy in the Harry Potter fandom, to the point where I wrote a parody shipwank poem, and ended it with:

Harry Potter fandom, the fandom that once had Harry transformed into a catboy who got pregnant with Voldemort's kittens and was treated all so kindly by the death eaters.

Not a single part of that is a joke by the way. The fandom loved that fic beyond all measure and beyond all belief.

Its an oldie, I think even pre-hiatus. I think it was around the time of Chamber's publication when there was the big explosion of handsome Voldie stories.

... I didn't even realize there was much post-Chamber of Secrets fanfic.

Unless you're talking about that fic by Gypsy? I don't think it involved cat people, though.
