The goofy movies and the 2D alvin and the chipmunks movies.

I still love A Goofy Movie.

Mr Bean

It holds up. The steak tartare, the sneezing/sleeping in church, the Christmas turkey, the dentist, lunch at the park, meeting the Royal Family, home renovation, it holds up.

You sound like my litter sister. She told me she watched the second movie the other day, and that she was fuming mad over Mr. Bean's unreasonable incompetence at life that she decided that he was never funny and she's too scared to watch the old vhs' again.

Tiny Toons. That was my jam as a kid but I watched an Animaniacs episode recently that underwhelmed me so I'm afraid it'll be like that.

Spiderman (from the 90s) and TMNT (also from the 90s?). I'm holding out hope that Spiderman will still be good but I have no idea about TMNT. I used to be into Transformers but I just rewatched the pilot episode and realized how young I was when I saw that in the 80s, and now I don't know what to expect with any of them.

I'm sad but not surprised about how badly the Steven Spielberg animated shows have aged. They're too dependent on pop culture references that were already starting to go stale as the show was airing.

Kodomo no Omocha

I loved them ten years ago, and Kodocha had a good story that I never got to see finished, but I hate "random" humor with hyper characters now.

Beast Wars. The animation is not a problem, I can get through shit so long as it's entertaining.

I have fond memories of it, but I can't pinpoint specific character arcs or why they made me feel strongly about them as a kid. I know I loved it, and that Megatron's voice was the best most fabulous thing ever, and I probably loved the shit out of Dinobot because who doesn't like grouchy face-heels, but but but but what if it sucks now?

Comedy stuff.

I used to find Ace Ventura funny, but when I watched it recently the scene where he starts ripping the clothes off a transgender woman to reveal her lie and everyone throws up just made me horribly uncomfortable. I think when I was younger I thought "it's okay that they're doing that because she's actually the bad guy in disguise".

It makes me wonder how many creepy and gross things I missed because they were written as jokes.
