Re: Those of you who are on meds, what happens to you when you go off them?

Enh, I haven't been off my anti-depressants cold turkey, but when I lowered my dose, I definitely noticed having less energy, being more easily tired... it was like anti-depressants give me a platform to stand on in high tide, and going off it makes me sink lower.

Also if I miss a dose, I have trouble sleeping.

Going off testosterone, I felt like absolute shit for like three weeks (tired, cranky, basically PMS for three weeks) and then was totally fine.

PS from Miranda: I personally think the whole "me vs. me on meds" is a bit of a wild goose chase. Diabetics don't ask if they're truly them on insulin. People with thyroid problems don't ask whether they're truly them on their medication, even though thyroid can have effects on mood. Humans are not just one fixed thing; they change and adapt according to their environments and chemical changes. I might as well worry whether I'm truly me when I'm PMSing!
