First, it's usually not the suffering people with a rape kink like. It's about the force and intensity and power.

Second, think of all the things you have a kink for (not necessarily sexual) that you like but would never do IRL and get off your high horse.

They're saying they distrust people and have friend-dumped 3 people because of a (wrong) conclusion they jumped to. If that's not high-horsing it...

They say in their secret that they know that people who have this kink don't necessarily want to do it in real life and "all that stuff", but that they can't help but be disturbed by and think badly of people with the kink anyways. They know that it's wrong to assume that people with that kink lack compassion. They know all the rational reasons why people have this kink, but no matter how many times they list them off to themselves they're still bothered. That's not a happy or self-satisfied state of mind.

I suppose it might sound like high-horsing if you're coming from a place of defensiveness.

No, they don't say they know that it's wrong to assume people with that kink lack compassion--they say they know it's wrong to assume people with that kink will actually do it irl.

Hence the word "but" being in there after they say "I don't think they want to do it in real life."

"I don't think they want to do it in real life BUT why don't these people have any compassion?"

Yeah, definitely get into the PacRim fandom because there is a LOT of talk about the cuteness of Charlie Day's belly (and to a lesser extent, freckles), and some thigh appreciation. Even if you don't want to get into the fanfic (though a lot of it doe focus on Newt' attractiveness), you can find fans to talk to who see him as cute and hot as well as funny.

Charlie Day IS super cute. I think it's how shrill he gets that ruins it for a lot of people, but whateva, more for me.
