I love where I'm working currently. Love the work and love my boss for the most part. But he's really scatterbrained and just so busy that he forgets things. I'm going to have to go in tomorrow and skip an event I really wanted to go to because he kept forgetting to send me things or tell me what to do on something.

Ugh. I am sorry. I have had to deal with similar people and it is frustrating.

Like, I can't really be mad at him because he has a million things to do. So the rant is totally petty. But I really wanted to go to this thing tomorrow, and now I can't because I can't let the client down so stuff has to get done.

As another scatterbrained person: don't take it personally, we do not do it on purpose.

I'm actually pretty scatterbrained too. But, damn it, I should have to ask 8 times for an email. And he actually drafted the email on Saturday. And then for some reason didn't send it. What?

I'm scatterbrained myself so I don't hold it against other people, but there comes a point when purposely or not, it still causes one hell of a mess for someone else to clean up. The fact that it's not malicious doesn't really make the screw-ups any nicer.

Man, I'm in coffee shop, but ditzy bosses can be ridiculous no matter the industry. I have told my boss to get his shit together (paraphrase) so many times regarding machine maintenance, scheduling, payroll, and all the smaller things that I may as well volunteer to be his personal assistant at this point.
