3) I'll never understand the appeal of these books. The main character was such a Mary Sue. I wanted her to die and was always disappointed when she didn't. :/

3) I'm actually with you there, and I've read the first two in the series... What's pretty shameful is that I plan on reading the third, just to know what happens D: But yeah, you're totally right, she's the biggest Mary Sue I've seen in published fiction, I think. She's also kind of stupid. I have no idea why the series is so popular compared to other similar ones but I'm still going to write fanfic for it... but I won't be caught dead writing the canon pairs. I might piss off a few fangirls, though...
