If she's in college she's most likely an adult. Twentysomethings are not teenagers. I don't see the problem here.

But there's a huge gap in maturity between early twenties and thirties.

Not necessarily.

I first got online at age 19 and made friend with people in their late 30s, who are now in their late 50s. The older you get, the less the gap matters, but we still had a lot to talk about back then.

I don't think we're all that different. We have similar tastes in fandom, music, views on the future. The only differences, realistically, are that I've graduated and worked, and am in a relationship.

I don't feel like I'm fundamentally different from the person I was at 22.

Sorry, OP up here!

This so much. Can't believe people are trying to act like #notalltwentyyearolds in the thread...

There is and there isn't.

I know plenty of immature, mid-30s people with long-term marriages and kids and plenty of really together early-20s.

The main difference is that most early 20s are at that "need to please people" stage, and a lot of early 30s don't care near as much. Oh, and the amount of friends that have babies/kids.

As I said above, she is in college and has a car. Realistically I think she's about 19-22, unless she started late.
