My folks weren't religious, but honestly, you can't control their feelings. They may become okay with you over time, or they may not. You can, however, work on yours, and try to decide what YOU'RE okay with, what you can live with and what you can't.

It's a really tricky thing, and I'm sorry you're going through it.
