Oh Noes! RDJ is five inches shorter than Chris Evans! We have to have him stand on a box for every scene because no one could POSSIBLY take the shorter guy seriously.

Oh! I'd forgotten about those. It's still equally as ridiculous. RDJ's like, what, two inches shorter than the average American male? One inch? It's so silly.

The character's supposed to be 6'. That's probably the main reason for that particular costuming decision.

Well, that and Gwyneth Paltrow is incredibly tall, and god forbid the costume designers put her in flats.
