Once Upon a Time should have been a miniseries rather then a dragged out mess.

I actually think a lot of things should be miniseries, either movies that don't have enough time to tell a story or shows that either drag on or don't have a clear direction because they're not sure if they'll continue. I'd love if we had more quality mini series where we get a bit more then a movie and just enough time to tell the beginning middle and end of a story.

THIS. I agree with you completely.

I've been meaning to order all the flashbacks, just to see how much of a mess it is. I rewatched season 1 recently and I'm pretty sure I found several plot holes.

Still I enjoy it (for the most part), even though this Author arc really isn't helping it distinguish itself form Fables.

I dropped the show for a while because it was just getting too dumb for me. I picked it up again, I don't know why, probably for the queens of darkness.

I think the show has just exhausted what they can do with that cast. It might have been more interesting if each season was about a different set of fairy tale characters.

They also shouldn't have gone SO heavily Disney, I liked it more when it was a bit more of a general fairy tale vibe.

Eeeehhhh, it's always had that Disney feel to it in terms of certain things, but kept itself in between which I liked until the STUPIDNESS in season 3. Then it went so far Disney it's like..."wut."

You killed Neal for that farce of a ship (the TRUE Captain Swann will ALWAYS be Sparrabeth), and went total Disney? UGH.

I didn't ever ship Jack/Elizabeth-- I actually didn't really ship anything in POTC. But every time anyone equates OUAT's Hook with Jack Sparrow, I grind my teeth. Jack is a dirty, halitosis-ridden sneak--and a much better man in-universe and character from a writing standpoint than Killian Jones will ever be.

And yeah, the more Disney shit they shoehorned in, the more disjointed the show got. I still lurk in fandom, but I haven't watched any of this season. Apparently, they've given up on even a semblance of a timeline, because the Enchanted Forest is, and always has been, outside time. So there's only evee been one Ogre War, and so on. Although given spoilers, I suspect it's just an ass-pull to explain why Hook wouldn't be 300+ years dead if he'd never, well, become Hook in the first place. This fucking show, man.
