Outrage about...anything on tumblr anymore. Half the time it's misinformed, and it happens so often I just can't be bothered to care beyond rolling my eyes again.

I try to keep as much of that stuff off my dash as possible. At best, it annoys me. At worst, it makes me completely apathetic towards whatever Tumblr's social justice issue of the week is.

I try to keep it off my dash, and only follow sane people but that can be difficult since one of the fandoms I'm in seems to magically turn previously sane people into being way to easy to outrage.

Yeah, I try to as well. But I think if I stopped following everyone who posted stupid shit, I'd be following like 8 people.

Oh, genric stupid shit is fine. Everyone does that sometimes. I meant more like...well. For example one of the people formerly on my dash just posted a constant stream of just...sheer vitriol about people who don't share their particular view on a character that lasted for a couple of days.

That level of nasty/stupidity that's been more common than I really like to think about in this fandom.

Oh yeah, I meant the vitriolic stuff. I consider that stuff to be stupid. :P

Yeah. I slashed and burned a big percentage of my tumblr follow list because I realized that it was just making me feel paralyzed with cynicism, which is the OPPOSITE of what I want.

It also helps that I've read gay comics from 1983 that are fighting about the exact same shit. I find that reassuring and calming, knowing that it's an old fight.

Tumblr just takes a reasonable thing and takes it to the extreme. And that extreme usually involves people needing to be killed.
