But I posted about Repo Man on the first page and I guess that counts. It's fantastic, everyone go watch it. It's this slightly surreal, slightly comedic movie about Emilio Estevez as an LA punk who becomes a repo man, and also there's a car with a trunk full of aliens that a bunch of people are hunting. It just has this lo-fi, grungy vibe + some really good, funny black comedy and a lot of awesome punk music on the sound track.
Also, I've mentioned RA Lafferty on here before but whatever he's pretty obscure and I love his work. Unfortunately it's mostly impossible to find as it's almost all out of print (except for the volume of short stories they actually put out a year ago). Another writer I love who most people don't seem to talk much about is James Blaylock. It seems like, if people have read him, they've mostly read his steampunk stuff. But what I love is his more contemporary stuff, which is set in this really dreamlike, awesome, bizarre version of coastal California that just really works for me.
Anyway that is some stuff that I like that I guess is kinda obscure.
