Text: I think he’s simultaneously unjustly hated and put on a pedestal

I think most of the hate he gets (that isn’t people simply not liking his books and not understanding his popularity) is a little unwarranted. He has fucked up a couple times, but he’s some people act like he’s the personification of white, straight male privilege and walks around twirling his moustache and thinking about how he can steal candy from minorities

But some peole who defend him act like he is the most progressive history in the history of ever and some kind of nerdy messiah who is the only man who can save this trash earth

I think he seems like a decent, cool guy.

I’d like to each pizza with him and have interesting conversation.
