But how would anyone be able to tell if no names are mentioned? It could just be a breakup song about a polyamorous relationship, which would actually be quite original, right?

Aw, this is kinda cute, although I think Niall doesn't really need that much looking after, he strikes me as quite a smart and reasonable person, probably more so than his (ex) bandmates.

This is pretty adorable. Maybe you could run it by just one of your bandmates without mentioning what it's about and see what they think?

OP

Thanks :) yeh I might actually do that - maybe it just seems so obvious to me because I know what it's about of course.
I hope it isn't really, I feel enough of a freak for liking that band so much, that's embarrassing.

I love this secret and I love you OP.

Text: I’m not sure how this happened but a few days after Zayn left the band, I wrote a song about it. It’s sort of from Niall’s POV - not about how they’re a couple or anything, rather about geing upset that one of them left, but also about like how the other three are now making a point of being extra sweet and protective of him to make up for it, and how i’s bringing them even closer together.

I’m not good at writing songs, but I really like this one and I”d love to play it with my band and all the instruments, not just my lame guitar.

But I’m worried that it’s really obvious who/what it’s about, even if I didn’t use names, and that it would be super awkward. It’s such a weird topic to write about - like RPF in song form.

Yeah, because people never write songs about real people.

Don't know about the others but no way is Live Forever about Kurt Cobain.

Noel Gallagher explained that "At the time . . . it was written in the middle of grunge and all that, and I remember Nirvana had a tune called 'I Hate Myself and Want to Die', and I was like . . . 'Well, I'm not fucking having that.' As much as I fucking like him [Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain] and all that shit, I'm not having that. I can't have people like that coming over here, on smack, fucking saying that they hate themselves and they wanna die. That's fucking rubbish. Kids don't need to be hearing that nonsense."

Oh well ok, so it's inspired by something he said that pissed Noel off. That's a bit different from writing a song from the point of view of someone about a specific experience though.
I'd actually like to hear that now - I don't even like One Direction, the music is really terrible, but the guys themselves seem cute and funny.

That's actually kind of cute though. I'm sure Niall's fine, or as fine as can be in their current situation, but I think it's really sweet you care so much.

Side note; I also think it's kind of hilarious how you have pics of Louis and Liam hugging Niall. But the pic with Harry is most certainly Harry and Louis hugging.
