Lost fic (books, films, etc.) search thread

Because I need to find a super obscure creepypasta fanfic which I'm not even sure is not a figment of my imagination.

Captain America fic (surprise)

[personal profile] kallanda_lee 2015-04-21 11:07 pm (UTC)(link)
So, this is a somewhat fucked up fic where the author decided young Pierce looked like Steve Rogers, and Buck even after rescue keeps thinking Steve is Pierce. sound familiar to anyone?

Whoa. I've read a few stories where that similarity is used as a plot device (needless to say they were all fucked up), but usually in the sense that Pierce was chosen as handler specifically because he looked like Steve. Never read one where he thinks Steve is Pierce though.

Holmes/Watson creepypasta

[personal profile] dreemyweird 2015-04-21 11:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Okay, so I was casually reading creepypasta and suddenly came across a Holmesian piece. Understandably, I was very curious. And I was not disappointed - the pasta turned out to be something. It was a H/W story about a mysterious door appearing within the 221b Baker Street flat. The door was a manifestation of the (evidently evil) spirit of the house itself, and it tried to lure Holmes and Watson inside. Holmes ended up becoming really obsessed with it and eventually entering it. Watson followed to rescue him, and eventually did so, though they went through some fairly hellish things (the "inside" of the House was apparently an endless black, freezing cold corridor that sucks your soul out or something).

The story also had a bazillion quotes from some pretty highbrow literature (well, some of it was highbrow, and some of it was just kinda pretentious, but still). There were Arthur Conan Doyle and Joseph Bell, and they both went mad.

HELP, f!s. I think I may be going a little mad over the fact that I can't find a single trace of this story anywhere. It's as if it only ever existed in my imagination :/ Maybe someone's google-fu is better than mine??

Yeah, it sounded like House of Leaves. So I googled Sherlock Holmes House of Leaves. It was the first result.

A movie where a character had a puzzle made of two linked metallic pieces - a heart and a bolt.

I think it was some kind of dystopia with people walking around in rough clothes and someone had CDs hanging from the ceiling for decoration.

I've been trying to recall it for a few days.

RICKY GERVAIS PODCAST!

(Anonymous) 2015-04-22 12:04 am (UTC)(link)
I've been watching clips from The Ricky Gervais Show (that animated one). They are apparently from the podcast. But when I search for Ricky Gervais podcast, the only one I find is like 25 episodes long. Which, may not be that bad except it seems the episode are only 9-12 minutes long.

Is there some alternate Ricky Gervais podcast? I've tried looking on the official site, but it fucking sucks.

Some of the stuff is taken from the radio show as well. Try "Ricky Gervais XFM"

I think some of them are now considered as "audiobooks" at least by Ricky

anyway this has a bunch of links at the bottom I guess: http://www.rickygervais.com/podcasts2.php

haven't actually worked out where to buy them, myself

So there was this movie I watched as a kid. Involving a mirror universe with anthropomorphic ducks. They were mostly evil, I think. And the heroine ended up going through to that world. I vaguely recall there being an evil duck queen of sorts, maybe?

Anyway, for some reason, I remembered this the other day. But I can't for the life of me remember the movie.

Yes! I was starting to feel like I must have made this up somehow.

:goes to find a copy:

I feel like viewing this as an adult is going to be different, but no less entertaining.
