Yeah, I know when most people think of Australia, they think of a desert, but the coast gets a fair amount of water. So far the drain has been keeping the garage fairly dry, but the gutters in the street are overflowing and the garage is below street level, so if it keeps raining...

Wow that sounds awful, and gross. :(

Thank you! I have no doubt that there are places still not getting enough rainfall, but we are getting more than enough here. Unfortunately we're still working on the giant fans that will blow the rainclouds inland. :P

OMG, that's what big swaths of my home state looked like in '93, and again in '08 and 2010.

Stay safe. Are you assured of a drinkable water supply at least?

We haven't had any warnings about drinking the tap water. Ours comes from a nice high dam so there's no gross runoff getting into it.

The rain seems to have stopped for the moment at least. I think we're still on alert, but the worst seems to be over with.
