Multiple other women have told me about their rape experiences [and no, I didn't ask prior to it.]

I know that one teacher I had ended up in the US because a drug cartel literally told her "You have 24 hours to leave to country or else" with a picture of their kids as the "or else".

One of my friends can't go home because - when her husband defected from Cuba her country decided that she had defected from them as well and will arrest her if she ever goes back - so her children will never meet their grandparents on either side.

My mother told me about her rape experience. And she can't understand why I won't forgive my uncle. She has. But she's my mother, and I have a very protective personality. Every time I hear his name I want to punch him.

This is my mom about her dad. He died from an esophagal hemorrhage, and I'm just like "couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. Too bad it wasn't sooner. Like, say, before he sexually abused his kids."
