Fitbit help

(Anonymous) 2015-04-23 11:05 pm (UTC)(link)
So, I kust got a fitbit charge hr but I'm not exactly sure how to make it play nicely with My Fitness Pal. Because when I linked them, MFP was all "ONLY EVER LOG ACTIVITY IN MYFITNESSPAL!" But, I mean, part of the reason I bought the thing was so I could wear it when I work out. It *knows* I'm working out and I trust its calorie counter way more than MFP.

Did anyone know if there's a way to only share food journaling? Because I like MFP for that and I like the way it shows how often I work out, so I don't want to make it a food journal only thing.

Any tips (for this particular topic or fitbit in general)?

It's been awhile since I had one, but I fairly sure you can make certain things on there available for certain people. IE You can have it public, for your friends, or private. I believe it's in home > settings, then you have to go through different things to find the different sections. There's a diary section, etc.

Also from experience I found MFP's activity thing to be way off when I had an account. I was getting very different values from it compared to my Polar fitness tracker thingy I have. I'd trust your fitbit and separately monitor it through there website or software. So yeah, use MFP for food monitoring because there's is the easiest I've found. But use fitbit for monitoring your activity.

Sorry if that's not what you needed or meant.
