I tried to say this once before, but no one understood what the hell I was talking about. Basically, the Democrats have this thing where they "don't punch down." They will always insult people on grounds of being more privileged, e.g. rich people in comparison to poor people. The Republicans do it too, but they always find excuses for how the less privileged people are actually more privileged, so it's okay to say horrible shit about them. This leads to all sorts of bizarre convolutions, like shitting on immigrant children because the government allegedly spends more on their welfare than it spends on kids who were born here.
