Don't watch the show so I don't feel like I can say anything about his 'normal' behavior, but when I hear people speak of him it's always bad.

Now I understand that people can get a bad rep and not deserve it (don't know if this is the case, though I'm leaning towards no), but...he DID punch someone and typically that kind of behavior comes with some kind of punishment. Maybe he was having a horrible day, maybe there was an underlying reason, but I don't see how that makes it justified.

(For the record, my dad is a diabetic and when his blood sugar gets low he gets weak and feels 'off', but I've never seen him angry because of it. Now I understand everyone is different but punching a guy is not a reasonable reaction.)

A teacher I worked with, her husband was type 1 and when he got low BG, he got very defensive and fighty, it was how they knew he was having a low.

In that case...I guess it is possible to have that sort of reaction, but it's still bad. Being defensive or argumentative is one thing, but actually assaulting a person is pretty extreme.
