Where did anyone say that the post would be "Tony Stark sucks!"?

If I *were* writing a critique about Tony Stark, it would express my frustration at how the films seem to feel they need to beat it in my brain that he's so awesome.

We have to show Tony being a genius! And rich! And getting all the women! And having all the best comebacks! Look at how cool he is! LOOK! AT! IT!

That's literally how I feel when I watch the Iron Man movies and I find it exhausting. If you think that's mindless hate, then you're free to. But I think it's fair enough explanation of my feelings.

The post that the anon I was referring to was referring to said that there is a difference between character critique and character hate, and that the former does not describe someone who's just calling a character a slut/whore/bitch. They were just saying that someone who makes a post like "tony stark is such a bitch ugh" is clearly not looking for a thoughtful discussion, which... I'm not sure how you could argue that such a person is looking for a thoughtful discussion.

They were not saying that your thoughtful critique is not thoughtful critique. You are misreading their post so that you can use it as a place to rant.

was referring to negative posts in general, not just ones filled exclusively with insults.
