I don't mind the gemsonas. I mind the show being put on a pedestal and treated as if everything it does is SO IMPORTANT. Not only is untrue, but it ignores a lot of children's shows that trailblazed similar messages years or even decades before.

MORE good messages is always great, so yay on SU for including them, but I'm tired of people pretending SU is some kind of pioneer in a lot of aspects that tons of other shows got to first.

Yeah, it's really annoying when people act like their fave show is the only thing that has ever made a point you agree with, and now nothing can compare.
