I see it a lot. You may not see it if people don't bother you specifically because not everyone answers their asks publicly, but I have friends with popular blogs who deal with it all the time.

I even have a friend who has had people bother them about things that if you scrolled their blog for 5 seconds, you could see it's a common theme and you'd be much better off unfollowing them then bothering them to trigger warning all their posts.


I follow the "I will tag for extreme things but I'm not going to follow every little phobia" rule. Otherwise I just tag what the post is related to. Plus I figure that if someone is really triggered by like, food, they will already have the "food" tag blocked and they shouldn't need to specific 'tw:food'.

Yea, I assume that as well. If food is a trigger it would make sense to cover all the bases.

I'm def not a popular blog, so maybe you have to be a fandom favorite or have a massive list of followers before people start doing that kind of thing.

I guess for some people if you have other content they're interested in (even if you post a lot of content they aren't), they would rather not unfollow. In that situation it's a lot easier to just unfollow. (Especially if the person has already been asked to tag their stuff. If they say no or just plain forget, I don't see why you would ask again instead of unfollowing.)
