I haven't seen it with tags so much, but I saw on one blog someone actually ask the owner to stop posting certain content altogether and post different content instead. I was like, "...uhhhh..."

There is one person in one of my fandoms who runs a Fuck Yeah blog who asked that a certain thing be tagged, because it legit triggers her, and people have followed that request because she was really nice about it and she also defends their right to put that kind of content out there (when she first asked she got some asks that were like, "THOSE PEOPLE ARE SCUM" and she was like, "no they're not. They're fellow fans and they aren't doing anything wrong; it's just something that I personally find triggering. Don't be dicks to your fellow fans, guys").

This shit baffles me. No one is going to change their interests just so you can be happy. I'm sure the person asking that question wouldn't, so why would you expect someone else to? It's so bizarre.

I always love being reminded that reasonable people still exist in fandom! Good on her for standing up for fans right to do what they want even if it isn't something that she can enjoy (and is actually harmful for her personally). If more people were that chill fandom would be a more welcoming place.

I'm glad people are tagging for her; she sounds lovely.
