If you put five throwaway tags (like dashes or random strings of numbers) before the character tag, it will show up on your blog when you want to find it later but it won't show up when people search the tag on Tumblr. It's not hard.

Nothing in my post indicated there was an it to get over. I'm just saying that there's an extremely easy solution to the problem, if you're that bothered by people being bothered by the way you tag.

I suppose I shouldn't have bothered. Judging from your response to the anon below me, I suspect that you're tagging this way as an attempt to stir shit, rather than out of ignorance or convenience.

You can put in placeholder tags - then you can still find it later but everyone else doesn't have to see a mindless rant. Do 5 dummy tags and any after that won't register in the tumblr search system

i.e #filler #filler2 #filler3 #placeholder #lastone #thatcharacterIhatecoughdaudcough
