Personally I find these "lots of people like something unfamiliar to me, so I'll actively hate it out of spite" reactions really... petty. I mean, I've blocked gemsonas (and lots of other popular stuff that doesn't appeal to me) on tumblr savior because I really have no interest in them, but evidently a whole bunch of people get happy drawing them. Have fun.

Then again, I do recall getting pretty damn DONE with the Rise of the Brave Tangled Dragons stuff that exploded a couple years ago. Maybe because it was mostly just an infinite fanarts of the four main characters standing around in inaccurately sorted Hogwarts uniforms, which got old really quickly, and the way people tagged (or didn't tag) it, it was near impossible to untangle from the source films themselves; I *am* a fan of a couple of those. Would've been nice to be able to find some actually canon-related material from under all the only tangentially related crossover Hogwarts AUs.

But that was largely an issue of people tagging improperly, which made it difficult to filter out.
