I think we need to read this so there's some context. Ridley's use of the N-word is bombastic and ugly. This isn't even Chris Rock's use of it. However, while I don't agree with what Mr. Wright is saying, he makes some valid points. All of which make his use of that word even more damning because it's hard to hear him over that damn, disgusting word.

Long story short: Ridley is talking about black people who do not try to advance themselves, who revel in the culture of "Keepin' it real" and tell others to "Stop Snitching." These people are real and they do hold all of us back. But they really are a minority within a minority and they aren't near as large or as powerful as he claims.

I'm not a conservative so I find him quite disagreeable and, dare I say it, on the edge of Uncle Tom Foolery, but I think too many of you are writing him off just because he used the N-word. You don't have to agree with what he said and I fully welcome you disparaging how he said it, but he has valid things to say.
