my dog is a spoiled brat. he gets good quality steak or chicken every day and refuses to eat any kind of dog food. we spend a good $50/week on food for him and he's only 12 pounds.

because he has inoperable cancer and barely any appetite. making sure he eats anything every day is critical. so many dirty looks for buying steak and talking about giving it to the dog. can fuck off. he eats better than we do.

Aw. I'm so sorry, anon. That is totally a legit reason to feed your dog chicken and steak.

For a while our dog would only eat chicken and rice because that's what they fed him at the place we got him. We had to ween him onto dog food by putting tuna juice on it, though, because he was starting to get sick.

Dude, that's what he should be eating anyway. Processed food isn't nearly as good for your body as unprocessed, especially when it comes to pet food. I wish we actually had the food resources for what you're doing to be economically feasible. Good on you for taking care of your pets! And I hope your dog is at least happy, and I hope you're doing okay.
