I hate to sound like a giant cliche, but the concept of making lemons into lemonade does not mean refusing to acknowledge that plain lemons are unpalatably sour and fuck up your taste buds if you don't figure out a way to handle them. It is possible to *make* an obsession into a good thing if you're stuck with it, but that doesn't mean it's a good thing on its own and gee, people who have a mental illness that makes them obsessive are all so damn glad to be obsessive.
