Norwegian licence plates are two letters then 5 numbers, not a lot of fun you can do with that and the two letters are which county the car was first registered and the numbers are pretty similarly made to how your social security number is made.

Kinda jealous of you guys getting to chose and stuff...

I once saw a plate that said BLESLRD and while I'm sure it was supposed to suggest "Bless the Lord," the first thing that popped into my head was "bless lard."

I love that story about the woman who wanted a plate that proclaimed her love of tofu but when she asked for "ILVTOFU" the DMV wouldn't give it to her (think about it).

There's a car in my neighborhood that is exactly the same make and model as mine, and the first three numbers on the license plate are CSA. A re-enactor? A Southerner who still hasn't got over the Civil War? Someone running a community-supported agriculture setup? (We have a bunch of those around here.) Or just coincidence?

In my home town, the license plates go 12ABC345. I saw 2 cars parked next to each other where the random letters read "PAY" "DAY". It was pretty cool.
