I got news today that the multi-hundred thousand dollar grant I wrote is going to be at least partially funded.

I projected some numbers and I will be able to afford a trip to Peru very, very soon.

Yesterday on my bike ride to work, I kicked it up a gear.

My birthday is this month and some friends and I will be celebrating it in Charleston. Awwwwwwww yeah!

So in conclusion, I am amazing.

After a few months of feeling too upset to socialise with people (as in, it actually made me feel worse), I finally felt brave enough to reach out to one of my friends and start talking to her again. She's a bit of an insensitive person so she used to accidentally upset me a lot, but I feel strong enough to handle it again and I guess she doesn't really mean to be unfeeling sometimes.

And I finally caught a 30/1/31/31/31/31 Modest Latios in Pokemon Alpha Sapphire a few days ago. Took me a couple of weeks, but it was a couple of weeks' of game time well spent.

I've gotten back in touch with a childhood friend recently. We didn't have major problems, just moved away from each other. My communication skills need work, so I really hope she gets some amusement or comfort from our messages despite that.

I have some insensitive tendencies. I can't speak for your friend, but I feel really guilty when I do realise, or someone tells me, I come across as ruder than I wanted. Another thing to work on!

I just finished a substantial bit of art, the first in a long time. I wanna post it but I'm le shy.

I actually managed to kick my depressive funk off a bit by actually making some substantial time on my project.

I was so pleasant to a customer today that she insisted on buying me chocolate. It's against store policy for me to accept, but it was still a sweet gesture.

I'm on my first week of teaching prac at a special ed school and the principal told me that other teachers have talked to him and they're impressed with how much I've grown in confidence.

This is such a great change from last year when I was at a mainstream school and completely terrified about my future.

I got my first gig this weekend.

I'm rocking my second training segment.

I applied for SO MANY JOBS, including the one(s) where I'm training right now. I could totally do them.

But mostly the gig. I am so exicted!

I once managed to work the phrase "come together like butt cheeks" into a serious politics / philosophy discussion with a friend
