Re: Weirdest fictional character crushes
FNAF is a neat idea, but jump scares don't lose effectiveness with us. We jump every time! It can be annoying, but with FNAF, I learned to FEAR being startled. That's why I thought it was more effective than other jump scares; it didn't just startle me, it made me dread and FEAR being startled!
LotusPrince isn't as well known, I think. He also has a very soothing, calming voice to listen to! He likes to point out trivia and development bits of the game, and get all the little thingy things. I really enjoy his style of Let's Play, even if sometimes he doesn't cut as much as he should. I feel like I get to learn about the game as he plays it! We got introduced to his stuff because he did the American McGee's Alice games and they're pretty good.

Re: Weirdest fictional character crushes
Makes sense! A lot of games fall into that catagory, which I don't always hate, those things can be effective, but it's nice when someone takes the time to make something that feels less cliche.
Haha, there is a bit of that, yes. Outlast was that for me, and the first BioShock made me feel like that too. I think the lack of variety in the jump scares is what helped me get used to them, but everyone is scared by different things and I don't at all blame you for being startled by that loud noise. (It is the stuff of nightmares.)
Ooo, I've wanted to watch the Alice games but never found a good let's play for them. (The one I was watching didn't have any commentary and the player wasn't all that great, and it was just...boring. But I don't feel like the game should be, it looks great!) NGL, one of my favorite things about LP's are listening to the voices. I do like a nice voice.
Re: Weirdest fictional character crushes
Yeah, I like the low-res kind, because we're really bad with gore or jump scares, but are way, way better at psych horror, and enjoy it a lot more. Corpse Party is GREAT at that! They got the great design idea to work around their tiny pixel doll graphics by, when scary things happen, turning the screen totally black. All your info is sound effects and the voice actors, who do a GREAT job. At first, you're like, "Oh, that's not hard, I can handle voices!" and then at the end you're like, "AAAAAAAAH!"
Lotus Prince's Alice Let's Plays are quite good! :D Here's the first one for the first game! You can tell he really loves the games, and he's actually responsible for us getting both Alice games!

Re: Weirdest fictional character crushes
Awesome! Thank you for linking! I've heard a lot of good about these games over the years and I'm excited at the thought of a good LP of it.
Re: Weirdest fictional character crushes
If you want a spooky little game that can run on anything and is really short, maybe you would like Loved! I adore it, but apparently it really unnerves some people. I don't think it's too bad though!
